Discover Hoi An, Vietnam: Why Trying a Basket Boat Ride is Unmissable

I heard that the Hoi An basket boat, also known as the coconut boat, is an absolute must-try when visiting Da Nang, Vietnam. Personally, I found it to be a unique and enjoyable experience, though once might be enough for most people 😂. Beyond just riding in the coconut boat, you’ll be treated to some local songs, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even join in (they sing songs you’ll understand, so check out the video in my previous post 🎦).

After the musical interlude, they let you try your hand at crab fishing, but don’t get your hopes up too high—catching anything is quite rare 😂. ⚠️ But remember, tipping is expected and greatly appreciated! They rely on your generosity 🉂.

Additionally, be prepared for the weather, which can be extremely hot and sunny, to the point of being almost unbearable 🥲. ⚠️ So, don’t forget to slather on some sunscreen! ⚠️.
