Discover the Enchanting Beauty of Hoi An, Vietnam: A Real-Life Oriental Dreamcore Experience 🏮
I am @8K-065, a recent graduate 🇺🇸 in mathematics, with a deep passion for photography and travel. Thank you all for your unwavering support!

🥹Is there a scene etched in the minds of every Chinese person, every Easterner, or anyone who has been touched by Eastern culture?

🏮Imagine a water town, with small boats gliding along the canals, houses adorned with upturned eaves and intricate bracket sets. As dusk falls, the area buzzes with tourists, lanterns hang high, and people release river lanterns, creating a serene and prosperous atmosphere filled with music and dance 🪭

📍In Hoi An, Vietnam, I used a drone to capture this “Oriental Dream Core” that has come alive in a 1,500-year-old World Heritage city.

🗺Nestled 30 kilometers south of Da Nang, Hoi An Ancient Town is a historic trading center in Quang Nam Province. It was a well-preserved traditional trading port in Southeast Asia from the 15th to the 19th century. The architecture and street styles are a harmonious blend of local and foreign influences. Once a major port in the East, it boasts a rich history spanning 1,500 years. In 1999, UNESCO recognized its cultural significance by listing it as a World Cultural Heritage site.

The pace here is leisurely, yet visitors from the East and West are constant. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a slow, relaxing time on coconut boats and in charming cafes lining the streets. The lively night scene is even more enchanting. For photography enthusiasts, the aerial shots taken by drone at night offer a unique blend of scenic and cultural beauty, making for rare and stunning footage.

📸You can launch your drone by the river in Hoi An Ancient Town; there are no restrictions on drones here, and coconut boats provide a fantastic platform for aerial photography. I will share more tips later. However, it’s worth noting that Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City airports may not allow drones to enter. I entered through Hanoi without any issues, so everyone should check the regulations carefully.
