Discover the Timeless Charm of Hoi An: Why This Ancient Town Beckons You Back
😤 In the past two days, my fondness for Da Nang was gradually increasing. However, today, after a 40km bike ride to Hoi An, all that goodwill was lost. I went there happily but returned in a bad mood 💔. So, this is a post to help you avoid some pitfalls; everyone, please view it rationally.

1️⃣ Went to 92 Station Restaurant & Cafe ☕️. The rooftop of this place is great for taking panoramic photos of the ancient town (but the drinks are pretty bad, no arguments accepted).

2️⃣ Near the above-mentioned cafe (should be right across from the exit on the right), there’s a clothing store. No pictures, but the owner is really pushy. We were just looking, and she seemed very enthusiastic, asking us questions, but kept trying to force a sale (What’s your size? Which one do you want to buy?). We just asked about the prices, and she started scolding us in Vietnamese 😡. In the end, we gave her a glare and left.

3️⃣ On a night boat, the boatman asked for a tip 🚢. At night, many vendors by the river ask if you want a boat ride or to buy lanterns.

After getting on the boat, the boatman enthusiastically took photos for us and asked where we were from. Then!!! He directly asked for a tip.
Are you kidding me? Who taught them this bad habit?
Okay, it’s not that we can’t afford a tip, but the habit of asking for it is really annoying.

4️⃣ A public toilet somewhere charges 10,000 VND (5k per person)🚽.
After using the toilet, an old lady rudely demanded money in the local language.
She didn’t even explain properly, just snatched our cash and said “ten thousand” [石化R].

5️⃣ Pictures 3 and 4 are from a roadside stall to the left of Uncle Hua Coffee.
They sold tofu pudding, charging us 50k for two bowls (8 RMB per bowl).
Of course, this is only because we sat down and ordered without asking clearly.
The same goes for lemon tea sold by street vendors; always ask clearly before buying.
Many merchants will prepare the item, hand it to you, and then ask for money 🙄.

—————————ok fine—————————-
In summary, perhaps because this is a tourist area, many merchants are not friendly (some words omitted here). The coffee and restaurants have a poor cost-to-quality ratio. But there are also some good recommendations:
🌟 Restaurant: Cơm Linh 🍴
This restaurant is quite good.

I had white rose dumplings, fried wontons, and Gaoqiao noodles 👍🏻.
Their specialty seems to be roast duck, but I didn’t try it.
🌟 Uncle Hua Coffee ☕️
Both egg coffee and coconut coffee are good, and the service is excellent.
🌟 Mót 🪷
This lotus herbal tea, which has a long queue, is really delicious!

18k per cup.
Pictures 10 and 11 show a sour and refreshing drink!
🍝 Everyone must try the Quang Nam noodles; they are really delicious!
