The visionary designer 👩‍🎨 drew inspiration from the wooden structural language of Hue’s Imperial City, transforming the centuries-old beam-lifting frame into a sleek, modern steel structure. The overhanging eaves have been reimagined as light, metal curved surfaces, blending the wisdom of traditional tropical dwellings with a contemporary aesthetic.

The unique inward spatial sequence of Hoi An’s tube houses is deconstructed into a layered theater of light and shadow — bamboo 🎋 screens create dramatic boundaries of light and dark, while the texture of terracotta 🪴 brick walls, accented by LED linear light strips, weaves a visual rhythm that seamlessly intertwines time and space.

👉 A Symphony of Materials
The interplay between traditional craftsmanship and modern industrial materials within the space is truly mesmerizing: handmade rammed earth walls and mirrored 🪩 stainless steel form a striking juxtaposition of the primitive and the futuristic. The delicate silk coverings of Hoi An lanterns 🏮 are transformed into translucent ceiling installations, and the intricate mother-of-pearl inlay technique of Hue lacquer art is reinterpreted as nebula ✨ patterns in the terrazzo flooring.

This innovative material translation allows the 13-meter-high space to retain the warmth and charm of traditional dwellings while radiating a futuristic glow.

The river-facing facade features a parametrically designed perforated brick 🧱 wall, which abstracts the shimmering waves 🌊 of the Han River and the reflections of the Perfume River in Hue into a dynamic play of light and shadow. The interior circulation mirrors the street texture of Hoi An’s ancient town, guiding customers through a journey of discovery.

They encounter booths shaped like Hue imperial food boxes, long tables crafted from Hoi An merchant ship wood, and ultimately complete a visual odyssey from historical scenes to the modern urban skyline on the rooftop terrace.
In this 270° panoramic dining theater, the rich aroma of Vietnamese coffee ☕️ mingles with the molecular foam of cocktails, and the soothing sounds of traditional zither music harmonize beautifully with the beats of electronic music.
