Explore Ha Long Bay in Vietnam: Unforgettable Fun and Adventure Awaits!

I booked a round-trip tour from Hanoi to Halong City with an English-speaking guide. I placed the order in advance on a certain platform and added Chinese customer service, who arranged the guide for me (the English-speaking guide is very enthusiastic; if you don’t understand, it’s okay, as the customer service will tell you the process, and you just need to follow along).

Arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam 🇻🇳 one day in advance and tour the city.

On the second day, the guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel (provide your hotel name to the customer service in advance). You will depart around 8 or 9 AM, or you can meet the group at the Hanoi Opera House.

There will be a stop at a rest area in Vietnam. Listen carefully to the guide, as the rest time is generally ten minutes. Board the vehicle at the designated time.

You will arrive in Halong City around 11:30 AM. The guide will handle the boarding procedures at the disembarkation point.

Lunch is served on the ship, with two options: a fixed set menu or a buffet, which costs about 100 more yen. Choose according to your needs. I chose the cheaper option, which was a table for six. Afterward, a server will come with a cart offering drinks (this is an additional charge, and you do not need to pay immediately; the guide will collect the payment towards the end of the trip).

While we enjoy our lunch, the ship sets sail, passing through thousands of rock formations in Halong Bay, such as the Chicken Rock and Dog Rock.

After about half an hour, the ship heads to Paradise Island, where you have about an hour of free time. You can swim or climb to the top of the mountain to view the panoramic scenery of Halong Bay. I chose to climb the mountain, following many European and American backpackers to the summit.

Next, we return to the ship and head to the Surprise Cave in Halong Bay. There are many caves in Halong Bay, and the Surprise Cave is one of them. It may look unremarkable from the outside, but once inside, it’s a different world. The cave ceiling is covered with countless small pits, which is quite surprising, hence the name. Under the lighting, the bizarre rock formations are spectacular, ensuring that everyone feels the trip was worthwhile.

The ship then heads to the “Low Head Cave.” At this location, you can choose to take a kayak or a canoe, or stay on the ship. Once inside the Low Head Cave, you’ll find another world, like a hidden paradise.

Afterward, you can choose to enjoy the scenery on the deck or return to the cabin for afternoon tea, which includes fruit 🍉, cookies 🍪, and red wine 🍷.

Remember to take a photo with the sunset in Halong Bay when the sun is about to set 🌄!!!
