I embarked on a two-day tour from Hanoi with Flying Pig, and my biggest regret was not opting for a Chinese-speaking guide. This meant I spent two days straining to understand English, only to end up more confused than when I started [Facepalm R]. The first day, however, was a visual treat. The landscape was stunning, often referred to as the “Guilin of the sea.

” Unfortunately, the second day’s boat ride was rather underwhelming. The weather didn’t cooperate, staying overcast throughout, which meant I missed out on both the sunset and sunrise.
