Transport🚌: Depart from Da Nang to Hoi An at noon, take bus No. 16 in the city, and transfer to LK02 at the transfer point; for the outbound trip, tickets are purchased separately each time for 15k; for the return trip, a single ticket for 35k covers both LK02 and 02, and you will receive a second ticket at the transfer point.

The last LK02 bus for the return trip is at 6:00, and you don’t have to get off at the exact stop, just the nearest one; if you want to go back to the ancient town to see the night view, there are buses online that say the last bus is at 21:00; it’s more convenient for two or more people to use Grab to return to Da Nang.

✅After getting off the bus, you still need to walk a bit to get into the ancient town. After visiting some ancient buildings past 4:00, when the sun is not too strong, go for a coconut boat ride, which is about 5km away and requires a taxi to Hanh Coconut. Generally, it’s two people per boat, but you can bargain for one person per boat.

1️⃣The ancient town area is a restricted zone, and Grab cannot enter;
2️⃣If the driver asks if you’ve bought a ticket, always say yes, otherwise, they might drop you off at a nearby shop. Insist on going to the correct destination, and it will be fine.

3️⃣At the entrance of the destination, there will be people in uniform trying to collect 30k for an entry ticket, ignore them! There are many vendors around, and prices can be negotiated, even lower than Klook, and you can just follow and enter freely;
4️⃣Halfway through the boat ride, they will ask if you want a crazy spin, and you switch to another boat, but once on board, they charge 1000k per person.

If you don’t want to play, insist on returning to the original boat;
5️⃣Towards the end, the crew will ask for a tip, and they will repeat this after the boat stops; whether to give or not is up to you, but due to her deceptive behavior, the Japanese guy and I decided not to give a tip.
