🛫 Phu Quoc Island – Ho Chi Minh City – Nanning (visa required for Ho Chi Minh City)

Itinerary ⬇️
Day 1: Arrive at Phu Quoc Island and check into Sunset Town. The timing is perfect, as we arrive just in time to catch the breathtaking sunset. It’s worth noting that there are limited places in China where you can exchange for Vietnamese Dong, and digital payment methods like WeChat Pay or Alipay are not accepted here. Our bank cards faced some issues, so we conveniently exchanged currency at the hotel front desk.

Day 2: Embark on the over-sea cable car 🚡 adventure, ideally starting at 9:00 am when it’s almost deserted, allowing you to have the entire cable car to yourself. The panoramic views from any angle are simply stunning. The cable car takes you to Hon Thom Nature Park, a paradise for water activities.

No need to wait in line; just remember to bring your swimsuit and towel. There’s also a thrilling wooden roller coaster 🎢 and the Eye of the Cat attraction. The last cable car back departs at 17:00, and the return journey with the sunset backdrop is absolutely mesmerizing.
❣️Cable car tickets can be purchased at the hotel front desk (or on Taobao) or on-site.

A ticket to the Kiss Bridge is included, which must be used on the same day.

Day 3: We spent a relaxing afternoon at Bãi Khem Beach 🏖, a local favorite. The sea breeze was brisk, but the sand was pristine white. Many people were sunbathing, and it was genuinely rejuvenating! In the evening, we explored the vibrant Phu Quoc Night Market, filled with delicious food stalls. While it felt similar to night markets in China, I indulged in some authentic Vietnamese beef noodles!

DAY 4: Woke up naturally and took a leisurely stroll around Sunset Town. During the day, the town is remarkably quiet. In the evening, we meandered to the Kiss Bridge, though we skipped the fireworks 🎆, as I had already seen enough during the New Year in my hometown.

Day 5: 🛫 From Phu Quoc Island to Ho Chi Minh City, I must express my frustration with Vietnam Airlines’ efficiency!!!! The delay and cancellation rates are alarmingly high. A flight scheduled for 11:20, with a one-hour journey, didn’t land until 17:00, and it took another hour to collect the checked luggage… The whole day was wasted at the airport…
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City, while bustling, has limited attractions, and half a day is sufficient to explore. The city is congested with motorcycles, leading to significant traffic. In the afternoon, 🛫 we headed back to Nanning.
