Nha Trang Travel Guide: Essential Tips to Avoid Tourist Pitfalls and Enjoy Your Trip
To be honest, Nha Trang, 🇻🇳 is really a great place for a relaxing vacation~ The sea water 🌊 is bluer than expected, and the prices are also friendly! This article wants to share my real experience ✅, not some internet celebrity check-in guide, but practical advice 💡 for ordinary people, hoping to help those who are preparing to go.

🔸Visa: For those who don’t want the hassle, it’s recommended to get it done in China. Find a reliable travel agency on Flying Pig for around 200-300 RMB. You can also DIY an e-visa like I did, which costs only 💵25 USD, but upon arrival, you need to switch to a separate paper visa. If interested, see the detailed tutorial on the homepage.

🔸Data: Buy it before your trip, about 35 RMB, and use it immediately after landing by inserting the card 📲, cheap and convenient. However, because they are mostly recycled cards, the quality is unstable. We had one that didn’t work 🙅♂️, so we went to the Vinaphone operator with our passport and spent 50 RMB 😭.

🔸Currency: The Vietnamese Dong is not an internationally circulated currency, and many places in China cannot exchange it. You can directly bring 💴 RMB to exchange locally. It’s recommended to exchange at gold shops in the city, where the exchange rate is good 🫰, approximately 1:3500. Exchange enough for your needs; there’s a detailed money exchange guide on the homepage for reference.

🔸Accommodation: Staying in the city center is more convenient, close to everything, and there are plenty of dining options~ Hotels in Nha Trang 🏠 are generally not expensive. For about 200 RMB per person, you can stay in a four-star 🌟 hotel, with a rooftop infinity pool 🏖️ that’s super photogenic!

🔸Transportation: Download Grab in advance, with clear pricing to avoid detours and overcharging! Nha Trang city is not large, and a single taxi ride 🚗 is very cheap, most trips cost around 10 RMB 💰. Online payment is not available, so remember to prepare cash before getting in the car.

🔸Food: Upon arrival, have a bowl of authentic Vietnamese noodles 🍲. Pho Hong is a no-brainer, 20 RMB for a bowl full of meat! Must-try baguettes, egg dishes, Vietnamese spring rolls, beef offal hotpot, local seafood 🍥, and Highland Coffee, the Vietnamese version of Starbucks 🥤, available everywhere.
