Hoi An Coconut Boat, I personally rate it as the most worthwhile attraction to experience in Vietnam!

During the 45-minute boat ride, the boatman will take you through narrow waterways, get up close to lush coconut groves on the water, watch a coconut boat spinning performance, enter a wide river mouth, and finally return to the starting point. This journey allows you to fully experience the climate and scenery of the Indochinese Peninsula. 🥥

💰 How much is a reasonable price?
Conclusion: 200,000 VND (about 60 RMB) for two people in one boat is a fair price. The lowest price I found on xhs was 120,000 VND for two people, but it might take more time to find the shop and bargain. 200,000 VND is a generally reasonable and common price.
The shop we went to was quite outrageous, initially asking for 700,000 VND per person, which made us so angry that we turned to leave, but then the shop owner pulled us back.

Prices in Vietnam are not very transparent, and they often start with a high price, requiring you to haggle.

Conclusion: Funtastic Basket Boat Tours 🍃
This shop has a very high rating, and we originally planned to go there by taxi. However, the driver dropped us off at the entrance of Hangcoconut Basket Boat Tour, possibly because of a kickback. 😏
Apart from the initial unpleasant bargaining, everything else at Hangcoconut was fine, and the boatman was quite responsible.

After getting off the boat, we went to eat at Funtastic, which we originally wanted to visit. The food was delicious, affordable, and the staff were friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

💡 Some tips
Give the boatman a tip right when you get on the boat, and he will give you a better experience! For example, during the coconut boat spinning performance, he can help you get to the front row.
If you want, the boatman can also let you experience the spinning sensation. But we were afraid of our equipment getting wet, so we passed on that, hahaha.

⏰ What time to go?
It’s very hot in Vietnam during the day now, so you can wait until a bit later, around 4-5 PM.
But don’t go too late, as there are basically no boats an hour before sunset.
